As the Assistant Manager- Operations, I’m responsible to monitor daily investment reconciliations, valuations, and month-end reports. While ensuring that the equity and fixed income investment decisions made by the fund Managers are effectively executed through placement confirmations and settlement confirmations in coordination with Trustees, Custodians, and other counterparties. (Deutsche Bank, HNB, HSBC & Bank of Ceylon). Further, I am responsible for pre-trade and post-trade compliance monitoring and compliance sign-off on daily trades to assess asset allocation and exposures are in line with investment mandates and regulatory guidelines.

Holding ownership of Total Hedge Funds (European) of the team and signing off to A&V Investigating issues and resolving long standing back logs in relation to Funds and Prime Brokers. Performing second level & final reviews of clients’ packs. Authorized to send out client queries, finalizing and signing checklists Preparing monthly & quarterly Cross Training plans. Conducting refresher sessions & trainings. Planning the daily work allocation and assign ad-hoc requests to staff. Supporting automation projects. Providing constructive feedback for staffAchievements I have been awarded with Super Star award in 2013 and Star performer of the month in March 2013 and July 2015. Migrating Pine funds and Dublin funds to the connectivity model as a member of the pilot batch of the Reconciliation team and creation of backup resources for the funds through cross training to better manage resource crunch situations and eliminate key man dependencies. I have taken initiatives to escalate limitations and bring forward CQI ideas at the stage of implementation of connectivity project to sustain the quality and productivity of the deliverables. At the same time took up reviews to support the team to deliver a quality output whilst meeting the tight PLAs in place. Have taken the responsibility, gained the trust of the management team and was assigned with responsibilities such as assisting managers in resource planning / work allocation, assisting with projects such as BPR, Connectivity and plan and carryout cross training for the team. Act as one of the main referral points for the Pine client team. I have automated Prime Broker reports of BNY Mellon to be received via mail for certain funds which are performed by both Colombo and Kolkata. At the same time reduced the operational risk by getting raise access for several Prime Broker Web sites

 Give full support including coordinating, preparing documents, assisting with proposals to carry out the daily process of the department. Creating SOPs for Bra checking ,cut panel checking, Bemis tape attaching and handling of the laser cutter Preparation of a manual for moulding machine and band knife handlers to minimize defects & Come up with suggestions to streamline the quality audit process in the cutting department Assist during the preparation of MOS assessment for Error Proofing, Andon, PDCA and self ownership projects and gained a wide knowledge in applying Lean tools in a garment manufacturing organization & Preparation of a KPI board for the quality assurance carder in the cutting department. Practically experienced QA roles in production lines, cutting department, and raw material stores in the factory. Completed my Industrial training project report on the topic of:” An analysis of quality functions in the cutting department of MAS Intimates Unichela, Panadura”
