Career Progression: started at the Toronto Star part time in the Circulation Information Systems Department while attending University. Advanced to the Advertising Department, Voluntary Classified Advertising sales. Promoted to Inside Sales covering all of the many marketing categories. Attended night courses at Ryerson to further advance my career to the position of Account Manager/Outside Sales. Covered the re-launch of Star Week Magazine, tween targeted Brand New Planet, Local Retail, New In Homes, National, client direct, agencies and consultants. Managed the Special Sections area which included the Star's Golf Magazine, What's On Magazine, 'Guide to Colleges and Universities along with print broadsheet and digital special sections covering all categories. Most recently covered the health category including national accounts, charities, non-profits, hospitals and lotteries.
