My life and my passions have been defined by : 1) wanting to be helpful/useful to others and 2) Learning things that I believe we should all learn. I went to University and studied Technical Theatre because it had all the things I thought people should know: (Set) construction, electrical, sowing, history, public speaking (via acting and directing classes even techs had to take), and elements of design. I found the most useful area for me in theatre : Stage Management and did fairly well at it, except the hours were very long and the work not always consistent enough. I went back to school. What would be useful? Just about everyone lives and works in buildings and we need to get greener if we want to keep the planet healthy enough to stay here. I got on track for Energy Efficiency and Home Comfort Improvement. I have helped over 200 homeowners by going into each of their homes and talking through improvements and performing safety and diagnostic tests.I then got a job as an Energy Concierge where I worked with just over 3,000 members find energy wise actions, to save money and improve comfort, speaking to people across the country. Constant learning how we can come together to choose better for ourselves, are family, and our future! From there I found a place working at Google, again speaking with people around the country to have them as possible participants in User Research Studies. As a recruiter, I am honing my skills at reading people and getting back to my passion of Coordinating/Managing both people and project. These years have taught me that no job is forever and while wherever I work has my loyalty to do my absolute best and continue to improve what my best is; I have learned it is wise to keep an eye out for other opportunities.
