Research Assistant on the COPRNET ProjectWithin my role as a research assistant, I engage with a range of COPRNET stakeholders and network participants, monitor email communications and contribute towards organising network activities. This involves aiding in the organisation of quarterly network meetings, collecting and collating participant feedback, evaluating the impact of meetings, and maintaining the COPRNET membership list by monitoring registrations and answering member queries. Following each network event, I draft the quarterly Call to Action publication.

My main tasks in this position are the evaluation of European funded projects and engagement with project managers, principal investigators and co-investigators. I review project documentation including business plans, monitoring and evaluation plans, progress reports, achievement reports, cross-cutting theme activities, marketing activities and spend profiles to understand whether the project has met its objectives, to highlight any additional achievements and to report on the project's spend against budget. Qualitative and quantitative research is also undertaken and can include completing interviews or questionnaires with key members of the project team as well as any stakeholders the project is working with such as SMEs, large organisations, students, teachers, government employees, community members and anyone receiving support through the project. During this process, I have managed and organised the design, development and dissemination of questionnaires, organised and coordinated interview times between myself and colleagues and the interview participants. Following the collection of data, I write evaluation reports detailing the progress and outcomes of the project, analyse, collate and anonymise questionnaire and interview data for inclusion in the report, undertake and write literature reviews, complete logic models and finally make recommendations based on all of the data collected that the project can take forward. Along with writing reports, I am responsible for proofreading and editing them. Throughout this employment, I have worked with a range of projects including Technocamps, SMARTAQUA, AgorIP, CALIN, ACNM, RICE, MINESTO, M2ETaL, PER, DTLSN, SPARC II, Withybush Food Park and Mon a Menai. Along with this, I have written a number of business plans for small businesses including a theatre group, community skatepark, surfboard makers, food and drink companies as well as a community-owned hydroelectric scheme.

Assisting academic staff within the delivery of lectures, labs, seminars and workshops within Sport and Exercise Science at Undergraduate Level. My duties entailed teaching groups and supporting their learning within different areas of the subject.

Working alongside academic and professional services staff at campus-wide engagement events such as open days. My duties entailed providing a wide range of information to prospective students and their families as well as leading campus tours.

Led a variety of physical activities including football, dodgeball, and multi-sports within primary and high schools, as well as community centres. Provided alternative education for students who had been referred by their respective schools by providing a diverse curriculum including GCSEs and BTEC equivalents whilst supporting their educational, social, and emotional needs. A key focus of this programme was to improve students’ education as well as developing and improving students physical and emotional health and well-being.

Provided a variety of activities to children aged 5-12 years. Activities varied from sports to arts and crafts. Additionally, I provided one-to-one care for a child with additional needs to allow for free play.
