Laura currently provides value engineering for land development projects with an emphasis on sustainable best practices.She has spent the last 30 years advocating for design code changes and engineering solutions for the planning and development of complex master planned communities and revitalization of mixed use districts. She combines a very strong technical background with project management, business development, financial analysis, public presentation, and negotiation skills. She has extensive knowledge of the coordination of infrastructure master planning (transportation, water, waste water, reclaimed water and drainage), with an integrated approach to the optimization of project infrastructure to reduce construction cost. Laura emphasizes the importance of water conservation as a basic assumption when assessing infrastructure needs. Laura has been involved with the feasibility and master planning of infrastructure for more than 100,000 lots across United States and millions of square feet of non-residential development.Laura is full member of the Urban Land Institute (CDC Silver), past branch president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, member of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure’s National Technical Committee for the Envision rating system and a member of the Harvard Graduate School of Design Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory Board.
