Coach students on a variety of topics to identify and implement strategies to thrive, including increasing self-awareness, improving academic commitment, and enhancing overall well-being. Troubleshoot and improve processes to minimize barriers for students accessing campus resources. Identify student retention issues and collaborate with campus partners to implement programmatic initiatives that better support our student population.

Developing collaborative programs to helps students with all 9 dimensions of well-being and expanding our suicide prevention program.

Coordinated REACH suicide prevention program. Oversaw Healthy Huskers who assisted with campus outreach initiatives related to well-being.

Co-supervised Residence Life Coordinators in the South Halls Area, which houses approximately 4,000 students, including Schreyer Honors Scholars, sorority women, and independent upperclass students. Oversaw Atherton Hall, which houses approximately 550 mixed-class students.

Respond to crisis situations in the Pollock Area, which houses 3,400 undergraduate students. Uphold the Code of Conduct and ensure students understand Penn State’s policies with regard to their personal decision making.Beaver Hall (July 2015 - July 2016):Manage the daily operations of a residence hall housing more than 550 mixed-class students. Coordinate and implement cocurricular programming for the following Special Living Options (SLOs): Discover House, Health & Human Development, International Language House, Leadership & Service, LIFE House, Paterno Fellows, Sophomore Year Experience, and sorority housing.Train supervise, and evaluate a staff of 8 Resident Assistants. Hartranft & Mifflin Halls (August 2014 - June 2015):Provide educational opportunities to 550 Penn State students living in 2 campus residence halls. Train, supervise, and evaluate a staff of 16 student leaders, including 12 Resident Assistants (RAs) and 4 Polaris Guides (PGs). Coordinate, assess, and evaluate the Polaris Guides pilot program, which provides additional educational resources to first-year students to assist with the transition from high school to college.

Conducted one-on-one conversations with incoming students enrolled at University Park about their educational plans. Advised students to further identify their academic goals, interests, and strengths. Assisted students in selecting and registering for appropriate summer and/or fall courses that allow exploration of interests while making timely progress to graduation.

Help first-year students succeed at Simpson College by providing them with campus resources and checking in with students who may be struggling academically. Manage the day-to-day functions of 2 residence halls housing approximately 400 students. Provide a safe and comfortable living environment to all students. Supervise a staff of 15 students, including 12 Community Advisors (CAs), 2 Program Assistants (PAs), and 1 Student Hall Coordinator (SHC). Ensure excellent programs are being offered to students living in the first-year area and help students find opportunities to get involved on campus, and connect students with leadership opportunities. Adjudicate cases of policy violations and help students learn from their conduct experience.

Promote student success by providing an inclusive residence hall to non-traditional students, including graduate and international students. Train and supervise 1 Resident Assistant (RA) and assist with the supervision of 13 RAs. Enforce and monitor campus policies and procedures to create a safe and comfortable living environment. Respond to crisis situations within campus residence halls. Serve on the RA selection committee to assist with the selection of student leaders.

Supervised the summer program assistant. Assisted in the coordination of summer entertainment for the campus community, including Jazz in June and Fountain Frolics.Prepared contracts for various campus departments and organizations.

Advised a Judicial Board of 6 student and 8 faculty members. Conducted student judicial hearings to discuss Student Code of Conduct violations. Determined educational sanctions that encourage student development and success.

Prepared and taught leadership, diversity, and reflective workshops in the classroom.Assisted more than 100 pre-college students in the creation of a social action plan. Created a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive community for more than 70 pre-college students. Facilitated team building and personal development using low ropes course elements.

Advise 17 peer mentors (who work directly) with first-semester students.Present pertinent information to over 150 students in order to ease transition to ISU and the College of Business.Plan and execute a resume workshop for Business Learning Teams.Assist in the planning, execution, and summarizing results of the peer mentor staff.
