Carers UK is a charity that makes life better for carers.Managed Carers UK's Individual Giving and Legacy programme. This included responsibility for the Community and Events fundraising programme and line management of the Community and Events Fundraising Officer.Coordinated all direct marketing and Payroll Giving communications for Carers UK, including development and delivery of a supporter journey, building relationships with donors and donor development.Successfully implemented a Community and Events Fundraising strategy for the organisation, growing the income from this area fivefold and supporting the Community and Events Fundraising Officer to deliver the strategy.Key Achievements1. Managed two Fundraising Assistants, and provided strategy and planning support to the Director.Key Achievements1. Securing grants from major funders including Garfield Weston, John Ellerman and Sobell Foundation.2. One of the key people involved in designing and leading SANE’s 25th Anniversary Black Dog Campaign. This campaign united the whole charity in an innovative and influential mental health initiative, generating income of over £500,000 and attracting more than 15,000 new supporters.3. Co-developed SANE’s website, and oversaw acquisition of the Black Dog Tribe website.

HemiHelp was a UK charity that supported children and families affected by the neurological condition hemiplegia.Managed all areas of fundraising including Community, Corporate, Direct Marketing, Events and Trusts and was personally responsible for raising all income. Focused closely on diversifying income streams to reduce reliance on one source.Key Achievements1. Creating the first fundraising strategy for the charity.2. Securing grants for every project delivered – a success rate not previously achieved.3. Developing and delivering a fundraising internship scheme.4. Project managing an 800+ guest event and succeeding in making it the most profitable to date.

Assisted schools and health officers in educating the public about the importance of sun safety.
