I lead the digital program at The People’s Archive, managing a digital collection of over 30 TB of unique materials, including photographs, documents, audiovisual content, datasets, and web archives. I oversee all aspects of digital curation, tackling complex challenges in acquisition, preservation, and accessibility while developing and refining metadata workflows to ensure discoverability and inclusivity.As a problem solver, I thrive on identifying obstacles and crafting innovative solutions. Whether coordinating the migration of over 410,000 digital objects to a new content management system or streamlining workflows, I approach each project with strategic planning and a focus on efficient execution. My role also involves addressing technical and logistical challenges, ensuring processes align with best practices in data management.Supervising the digital team, I prioritize clear communication, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment that empowers my team to develop professionally and overcome daily challenges. As part of my responsibilities, I serve as Manager on Duty at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library on a rotating basis, ensuring the safety and well-being of staff and visitors, addressing emergencies, and maintaining smooth operations in a high-traffic public library.Additionally, I contribute to departmental planning and reporting, presenting data-driven insights to advocate for resources, set priorities, and support long-term success.My role combines leadership, technical expertise, and a solutions-oriented mindset to preserve and share history through accessible, well-managed digital collections.
