Back in 2022, one of my best friends took a chance. That chance led to me stepping outside my comfort zone, and choosing a whole new career. My friend saw my abilities with data, and asked me if I'd like to interview for a job at this awesome new company - fully remote. She said it was an opportunity for me to dip my toes into the world of Payroll to see if I liked it. I interviewed for that job and they also took a chance on me. I'm so glad they did. I learned payroll in 4 weeks. Well, I learned a specific vendor's platform, and started to learn the ins and outs of payroll. I successfully worked on this project and quickly started showing just what I could do. And now, I'm a Payroll Implementation Engineer with the knowledge and experience for almost every vendor platform: Paycor, Paylocity, ADP, Paycom, Paychex, UKG, BambooHR...etc. I've gone through countless hours of training and I've passed those super hard UKG certifications that they have available for partners. I even got the chance to put knowledge in use by doing HRIS Systems Support to troubleshoot various problems our clients were having on their HRIS platforms. I've had 3 very different jobs during my time with PuzzleHR and I love every second of it. I love the conversion project with Paycor, where I got to learn Payroll and conversions from scratch. I love the time I spent troubleshooting - where I got to learn the ins and outs of each vendor. And I absolutely love my current role, where I implement clients onto our Managed Payroll platform - making their lives easier with my vast knowledge. If I don't know the answer, I know exactly where to find it. You can bet that after I do, I won't forget that knowledge I gained. I love supporting our Payroll Engineers and everyone on my team. Collaborating with so many amazing people is a joy I get to experience every single day.They call me a Unicorn. I'm just over here being my best self and shining.
