As Head of Strategic Operations, Laura uses her management experience and knowledge in business administration to lead the development of Costello Medical’s strategy. She much enjoys the variety of her role overseeing her talented team’s responsibilities in finance, HR, legal and IT, alongside leading large strategic projects contributing to the company’s growth. These have recently included the expansion of the company’s HQ in central Cambridge to nearly quadruple office space in a prestigious grade A building, introduction of the balanced scorecard framework to analyse company performance, and the operational execution of the company’s overseas expansion.Alongside managing the company’s growth, Laura enjoys thinking about how to maintain Costello Medical’s small company feel, and is passionate about optimising engagement with colleagues throughout the organisation. She particularly relishes the opportunity to oversee new innovative initiatives that will contribute to the development of the company as a whole, and all individuals within it.Laura completed her distance learning MBA at Warwick Business School in 2018 with distinction and in the top 10% of her cohort. She previously graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class honours MPhil in Computational Biology, and from the University of York with a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics with distinction.
