As Vice President for Medicaid Policy & Programs, I lead business development efforts and oversee diverse projects related to Medicaid policy design and implementation, stakeholder engagement and technical assistance, and strategic planning. My personal expertise focuses on health care workforce, data and interoperability, trauma and resilience, and eligibility and enrollment.

- Facilitate strategic engagement of providers, community-based organizations, health information technology (HIT) vendors, and health plans to reach and achieve shared objectives.- Conduct research about complex policy issues in Medicaid policy and HIT issues to inform policy and publications.- Designed and managed technical assistance program for more than 35 grantees as part of California ACEs Aware Initiative.- Co-lead managing Pathways to Resilience initiative, convening state leaders and national experts to advance policies and programs related to trauma and resilience. - Serve as a subject matter expert on issues related to health information technology, private health insurance, health workforce, and telehealth.- Develop publications and guidance on state and federal policy issues within health care and at the intersection of health and other sectors.- Support business development opportunities to expand company portfolio.

Pathways to Resilience raises awareness of the impact of adversity and trauma on individuals, families, and communities and advances cross-sector strategies for promoting equity, lifelong health, and well-being. We convene state and community leaders to break down silos, build connections, and identify and implement practical solutions.Pathways recognizes the power of collaboration across the health, education, early childhood, housing, social services, and justice sectors to achieve common goals and believes that states and communities are in the best position to create a culture of healing and resilience for our children and families.

-Provided consultant services to governors’ executive leadership teams as in-house expert regarding health care workforce development, telehealth, private health insurance coverage, value-based care, maternal and child health, rural health, and data sharing within health and across sectors. -Manage policy, programmatic, budgetary, and administrative aspects of federal and foundation grants (including grant writing) to support the advancement of state initiatives, including over $2m in grants.-Oversaw staff work, mentor junior staff, and evaluate performance. -Helped states move from vision to policy implementation by providing individualized technical assistance as a strategic counselor and providing research and facilitation of in-state meetings with key state stakeholders, including legislators, health plans, consumer groups, providers, hospitals, and associations to advance policy goals. -Planned and facilitated meetings, webinars, and conferences with state leaders regarding emerging trends in health policy in areas of subject matter expertise. -Served as confidant and advisor to supervisor regarding team’s strategic planning and execution for budget, hiring, and general operations. -Serve as expert speaker in public forums to share states’ experiences about topics of national interest. -Analyzed the impact of federal policy changes on states and work with states to develop and share best and promising practices.
