Hello, I'm Lauren and I have a passion for working with and advocating for neurodivergent individuals with an inclusive, child-led approach. I am enthusiastic about creating unique plans that are accessible for children from all backgrounds, and I work hard to adapt activities so everyone can participate. As a leader I am known for being empathetic, driven, and focused on the well-being of my staff as well as my students.I am currently the inaugural Director of Adaptive Programs at Asphalt Green and have been working in recreational, home, and school settings for six years. I received my Masters Degree in Developmental Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia in May 2023 and hold my Bachelors in Psychology and Integrated Educational Studies from Chapman University. My experience as a graduate research assistant at Columbia University studying disability/inclusive education while at the same time working in the field provided me with insight into both sides of this area.
