Created, implemented, and oversaw the inaugural inclusive 1:1 "Chaverim" program for 20 neurodivergent and disabled campers ages 6-16 for Camp Shalom 2021 with a focus on equitable social and play experiences. I communicated closely with parents to tailor the program based on their child’s needs and abilities to provide flexible accommodations for campers to be included in the typical day camp with their neurotypical peers. I interviewed, hired, trained, and matched 10 staff with campers, and managed a budget for the purchase of sensory items, trainings, and related items. Finally, I designed and set up the camp's first sensory room.

As head of both the 3rd-4th grade camp and 5th-6th grade camp I managed staff, budget, resources and curriculum specific to each camp in order to create a safe, nurturing and fun summer environment. Developed and delivered grade specific lesson plans with accommodations for campers with special needs where appropriate. Coordinated with families and aides of children of different abilities to ensure an inclusive environment for all campers. Mentored counselor staffs, regularly providing feedback in addition to formal evaluations. Planned and oversaw all components of biweekly 3-day off site camping trips for 8 staff and 30+ campers. Planned three camp-wide all-day events for 300+ campers. Collaborated with other members of head staff to train counselors and conduct ongoing evaluations of camp as a whole.
