Increased visibility of JHF and the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative (JHF operating arm), communicating the impact of JHF and PRHI work demonstrating new models of care that improve health and health care delivery while reducing costs. Areas of responsiblity included media relations, publications, events, CEO conference presentations and articles/blogs/Op Eds, social media, board management (PRHI), and websites (development and copywriting).Responsible for Foundation public health initiative, developing strategies and working with grantees; a 40+ person advisory committee; and myriad community, health, and government organizations to increase the uptake of the cancer-preventing HPV vaccine.

Drove marketing strategy and implementation for JFCS and its four independently branded divisions (Career Development Center, Squirrel Hill Psychological Services, Family Hope Connection adoption services, and Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry), including public relations, advertising, marketing collateral, website/e-marketing, events, video, annual reports, and fundraising. Built and implemented fundraising strategies that increased annual fundraising campaign revenues more than fourteen-fold. Worked closely with multiple constituencies including staff, board of directors, clients, donors/funding sources, collaborating agencies and media. JFCS is a non-sectarian social service agency. (This was a 30 hour per week position, which enabled me to also do consulting work for an additional 10-20 hours over 4 years, as indicated below)

Brand management support for GSK (Aquafresh brand), including day-to-day agency and project management in areas of advertising, PR, promotion, digital, hispanic test market; competitive analysis; brand planning; shareholder/board videos. For other clients: range of writing and editing projects including capability summaries, brochures, personal correspondance, award submissions, and survey development.

Developed implementation, marketing, and pricing plans for launching digital cellular into the Pittsburgh market (replaced analog technology). Also developed launch plans for other (at the time) new products, including voicemail and voice recognition.
