I am a graduate of Tuskegee University, with a bachelor's in science. I spent a majority of my undergrad working alongside Tuskegee's chemical department with various professors. I worked with organic chemistry professors on understanding the toxicology of nanoparticles and microbiology professors on studying bioinformatics along with many popular metagenomic sequencing software. During my first two years my job was to maintain the lab inventory of the chemistry department and set up lab experiments for numerous upper-level chemistry courses. I spent time as a plasma technician maintaining an up to date and detailed medical history of hundreds of donors daily. While ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly calibrations of different plasmapheresis related equipment. Along with ascertaining the safety of all donors by constantly monitoring their current condition and "health" of their bi-weekly plasma output. During my time as an emergency medical technician (EMT) I had to make quick decisions under intense situations. Because of these experiences I work well whether I am in a team or on my own. I have had to learn to adapt and motivate myself to go beyond meeting the demands of working in a hectic environment. But I have also learned the time management skills of working with long-term projects.
