As the Chief Administrative Officer at STEM NOLA, I oversee the operations and administration of a nonprofit organization that aims to inspire, engage, and expose students and communities to STEM opportunities and careers. I have been serving in this role since October 2022, and I have more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, educator, and leader in the STEM field.I am passionate about empowering the next generation of innovators, creators, and entrepreneurs through STEM education and technology. I have completed all coursework (ABD) towards a doctoral degree in educational/instructional technology and obtained a post-master's certificate in educational technology. I have also been a teacher, a departmental leader, and a coach for educators in using technology tools to enhance instruction. Additionally, I have been a successful business owner, consultant, and speaker, specializing in corporate compliance, start-up development, business planning, and public speaking. I bring a unique combination of skills, knowledge, and experience to STEM NOLA and its mission.In another aspect of my life, I also serve as Pastor of Free Mission Baptist Church, located in the Historic Lower Ninth Ward of the City of New Orleans, Louisiana. In this capacity I help people find hope that springs eternal, enabling them to find meaning to the lives they live each day.
