I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Communications student at Capilano University in North Vancouver with a passion for content creation and public relations. My interest in writing comes from an early interest in reading, I could always be found with a book in my bag in high school. When reading the stories was not enough anymore I started writing fiction myself and that led me to eventually venturing into journalism. An internship at the Kölner Stadtanzeiger in Germany led me to a freelance writing position for this news publication which solidified my interest in journalism and content creation. Going out into the local communities and reporting about events that were relevant to the people of my own town gave me a sense of purpose and ignited a flame within me. I later went on to venture into politics because I feel strongly about social justice issues and through my involvement with politics gained skills in public relations and communications. My involvement with the public relations sector brought me to the realization that I want to combine my passion for writing and content creation with my passion for public relations and this is what I am currently venturing out to do. When I am not working or studying I can be found at the beach, writing stories for myself, or at various coffee shops throughout Vancouver reading books. Old habits seem to die hard and maybe I do not want them to die at all.
