When it comes to working in a smaller business the marketing department consists of not one, but several areas to be worked on simultaneously. Between developing content and strategy for a new website, working with award companies like Consumer Choice, improving CRM in the store, and creating new templates for everything from car wraps to business cards, my day seems to always be full of exciting new adventures.

Having to know over 100 bottles and 50 taps of beer can seem like a daunting task but with a fun atmosphere and amazing staff serving here has been a fun experience. Knowledge and customer service are key, making serving here more of an interactive learning curve.

This campaign was developed by 4th year marketing students for a senior level advertising credit. Individuals were placed in groups and asked to research trends, analyze the chosen demographic, create mock advertisements, and develop an implementation schedule. After all the teams pitched their idea to the college dean and faculty a winner was chosen to implement their campaign from summer - fall 2012. After winning this opportunity myself and classmate Cassie Wallace were hired and has responsibilities ranging from production, recruitment of talent, graphic design, media buys, budgeting, placement, and brand management. When involved with a student run organization keeping track of the books and organization of meetings was crucial. Most of this role consisted of working closely with the President to ensure costs were covered, helping other members with promotions, and creating a new organization system to pass down to future members.

By utilizing the technical resources that the College of Arts and Science has at its disposal I create interactive media for the professors and administration. The media ranges from promotional videos about different IT services available, to basic demonstrations of online department development. Although only a summer position this work will be composed in the future reconstruction of the Arts and Science college website.
