Project highlights:Led the project to move all repositories and services from .NET 6 to .NET 8.Creating Azure infrastructure resources using Terraform. Identifying where deprecatedTerraform resources are being used and migrating to more suitable choices.Automating previously manual tasks using YAML CICD pipelines and PowerShell, improvingdeveloper experience and allowing engineers to focus on engineering.Introduced full automated monitoring, alerting and visualisation for our Kubernetes applications using OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor and Grafana. OpenTelemetry configured via OTEL Collector using Helm.Installed and configured Azure DevOps dependabot tool for over 50 microservices to automatically keep internal and third-party NuGet dependencies and Terraform providers up to date. This included PowerShell scripts and the use of the Azure DevOps REST API to provide cleanup around our git repositories.Set up and configured SonarCloud scanning and analysis on all microservices via our CICD pipelines and Azure DevOps pull requests, in attempt to minimise bugs or security vulnerabilities being created by developers.

Project highlights:Created reusable CICD Azure DevOps pipelines fully using YAML. Newmicroservice ingestion (download, new security scanning software, upload to privateregistry). Development is now templated for ease of use and deployment time is drasticallyreduced.Part of the very small team tasked to migrate the primary, very large product away fromAzure App Services into AKS, using Helm and Kubernetes technology such as Deployments,Persistent Volumes, Ingress and SealedSecrets. This includes writing Dockerfiles to transitionthe apps to container orchestrated services.Migrated the company’s microservices to use a shared, master Helm chart for their deployments, which meant that development of microservices took a fraction of the time to complete.Using Go, Terraform and GitHub to build and publish a custom Terraform Provider which was used for our Terraform codebase to generate encrypted PGP keys and store them in Azure KeyVault.
