Worked on optical fibre projects for many key players in the UK communications market to include: BT, Telewest, NTL, Atlantic Telecom, Global Crossing, Alcatel, Cable and Wireless.Spliced and Tested both single and multimode fibres in many different environments, from national high fibre count trunk routes to single circuit business installs (upto 288 fibre core cables)Provided Chromatic Dispersion and Polarisation Mode Dispersion testing services to clients where fibres have been utilized for high data rate transmission networks.Conducted installations in high level security environments for clients such as: British Nuclear Fuels Limited, HSBC, British Telecom Goonhilly, and Telecity.

Attained a full electrical apprenticeship.Gained BTEC National qualifications in both Mechanical and Production Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.Implemented various cost saving projects throughout the production facility as part of the special projects team.Championed a cycle time reduction project which involved visiting sister plants in Germany, presenting the findings to senior board members and ultimately saving the business in excess of £500,000 per annum.
