As a law enforcement professional with 24 years of experience, I have worked in various roles, including patrol, traffic enforcement, criminal investigation, school safety, special event planning, and high liability training for the Sheriff's Office and our Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program. During my years of service in a multi-agency SWAT team, I held several different positions, which enabled me to transition to my current role.One of my primary responsibilities is to work closely with the School District personnel to create, update, and implement our Emergency Response Plan, which guides District staff for any event that could fall outside our standard educational day. Our team continually trains the staff at our campuses in the district in Active Assailant response alongside our Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program participants.I have extensive experience in planning and implementing security for large gatherings such as our many athletic events and graduations from the high schools in our district and our technical college. Before entering law enforcement, I worked as a full-time Paramedic/Firefighter, which allowed me to develop a skill set that plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and visitors, and accomplishing our mission to secure our campuses.
