CurrentCCNA Certifide• Currently work as a NMCI Network Engineer (MID) of a large-scale Enterprise network servicing NGEN Naval sites across the Puget Sound and Western region. • Implement and maintain an enterprise network environment to include Cisco routers, Cisco & Brocade switches (Multi-Layer, Data Center/ Access/Core/ Distribution).• Primary area of responsibility is Bremerton Naval shipyard with 235 switches to include NIPR and SIPR access. Total user count of 15570.• Secondary area of responsibility includes 9 site across the Puget Sound region too include Oregon and Idaho with a total of 265 switches. User count of over 6500.• Configure, install, troubleshoot various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN), LAN, and WAN. • Work with NOC technicians from Pearl Harbor and Norfolk Virginia to troubleshoot down devices, outages, and resolve network related issues.• Create tickets for network maintenances using HP Service Manager. I’m expected to understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and procedures. Perform escalation and additional tasks as directed. • Provide daily operational support for LAN/WAN networks, including Port Capacity Requests, Closet Clean Ups, User Incident, Patching / activating ports, un-patching ports, configuring 802.1x, forcing ports for trouble shooting, and enabling MAB through PuTTY.• Resolve technical issues associated with L2/L3 network and routing protocols at all levels of the OSI model through the use of diagnostics and network administration tools.• Trouble shoot / replacement of Ethernet, power cable wiring, conduct fiber work (scope, light meter, cleaning) and media converters.• Ability to clearly communicate results of discussion, artifacts and recommendations. Help to remotely diagnose hardware problems, network issues, facilitate server repairs, and manage client's hardware assets resolution in a production environment.
