My experience as a Partner in the international finance department at Ashurst and previously as Head of the UK Corporate Bank and Global Restructuring Group legal teams at RBS, enable me to truly understand my financial institution clients whilst delivering cutting edge legal market knowledge.I have worked on a significant number of landmark transactions including advising Commerzbank on "Project Acorn", the £5.5bn sale of a UK commercial real estate platform (owned by Hypothekenbank) to Wells Fargo and Lone Star. Others transactions include a JV between RBS and the EIB to develop a funding programme to support carbon reduction initiatives across the public sector; the creation of a strategic fund to target SME growth for Santander and its partnership with the Regional Growth Fund; and acting for Barclays Bank on the formation of a new German branch of Barclays Corporate.
