I trained to plan emergency repairs for H2O on the R&M contract and am now in charge of 8 workmen and 2 promoters as the street furniture planner for West and South Yorkshire. On a daily basis I send My promoters to defective covers reported by the public , councils, highways authorities etc.I then alot jobs to my teams , planned in a logistically sound manner.I must take into account the workmens home local, base of operations, tarmac plant locations, surface type, special requirements ( road closures, traffic lights, embargos and the type ) and respective skills. To maintain a good working relationship with my teams I also take into account their likes and dislikes, some teams don't like to do brickwork and flags, some have less trouble setting up site in the middle of a busy road. Happy workmen are more productive and co-operative and seen as I need to ask alot of favours ( pulling off jobs to attend priority jobs mainly ) thats definatley a benefit.

The White Horse Inn is owned by Enterprise but the Leese is held by a private partnership, my day to day duties ranged from cooking for the resteraunt and keeping the cellar to book-keeping and temporary live in manager. This is where I found I didn't want a career in catering.

This company was in partnership with The White Horse Inn. I provided specially prepared meals to Time 2 Care from the pub kitchens to be delivered directly to customers of Their agency, they provided a full spectrum of care services also.

I worked at The Olde White Beare site, and award winning gastro pub in a pituresque village, the only thing that spoils the atmosphere of the establishment is the locals. I worked with some characters there and part of me misses it but It could be a bit much sometimes, this is where I found I had skill in catering.
