Lee Norman was born in Montana. He grew up on a combination farm and ranch, which created a strong, honest work ethic and a type “A” personality. After he served in the U.S. Army, he earned an associate's degree in electronics and a bachelor's degree in business. In his early career he worked in various sales and district sales management positions at J.C. Penney and Motorola. He left the corporate world to start his own business, Georgia Black-Top Paving, Inc. He grew the company from scratch into a $3 million sales organization. In 1995, Georgia Black-Top was chosen “Small Business of the Year” by the local Chamber of Commerce. Norman served on two national boards in the paving industry for eight years. He sold the business in 2008 to pursue another interest of his: helping small businesses grow.Norman has been involved in a number of small businesses; none failed due to bankruptcy. He's taught classes and speaks to small businesses on a national level. He was a member of Vistage, formerly TEC, for seven years. Vistage provides professionally facilitated, private advisory groups for CEOs, executives and business owners. Now Norman specializes in helping business owners exit and / or grow their businesses by furnishing capital funding through CXO Collective. CXO Collective a private equity group that provides capital for privately held businesses. For example:– Growing businesses that need management and/or expansion capital-- Consultation services for small business – Owners seeking to exit their business– Business needs to grow to a higher level but needs outside help– Management team wants to buy the business using an ESOP.– Need to structure the best tax & exit strategy for the owner's estateNorman is involved with numerous charitable organizations in Coweta County Georgia including volunteering through his church in Newnan, Georgia. He is a current member of the American Legion and serves on the Board of Trustees of Roosevelt Warm Springs.
