Responsible for the running of the CNC department including overseeing a small team, operating multiple machines and the ordering and booking of materials and product.

I am currently employed as a warehouse assistant / store person within a temperature controlled environment, supplying predominantly bananas and avocados, but also berries and stone fruit to major retail chains throughout Australia. The role includes using RF scanners and proprietary software to manage the receiving, rotation and despatch of the stock, the manual picking and filling of orders, and general housekeeping required to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

As the CNC manager I was in charge of operating 2x large CNC 2½D Flatbed Routers and 3x engraving machines in order to produce an array of products in a production chain that included large pylon manufacturing, a myriad of general signage for clients such as Woolworths, Caltex, Isuzu, and others. I was responsible for the production of braille and statutory signs for Bombardier, Queensland Rail, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, and more. I understand the importance of operating within a fixed set of standards such as those set by Standards Australia with regards to the braille, fire and directional signage. My tasks included the preparation of the cut jobs in EnRoute and the set-up of artwork in both CorelDraw and Illustrator, along with files sent to me by other project managers. I have used MatCam, MultiCam, TekCel & Techno machines along with Roland & Gravograph engravers.My responsibilities also included the managing of my stock levels and tooling consumables, along with the maintenance and servicing of the machinery, and the housekeeping of my department.As one of the forklift operators, I was also required to fetch my own stock, load & unload goods in/out and manipulate oversize structures using the jib to aid fabrication and painting. As we mostly used large sheets of material, I was frequently required to use the fork extensions to shift oversize pallets up to 4m x 2m.I also enjoyed the ability to liaise with the processes further down the production line in order to be able to make the workload more efficient, this included the production of assembly and install templates, and/or the inclusion of fixing locations and details at the CNC phase for example.Due to national restructuring and the closing of production in Queensland, my role at Signcraft was made redundant as of September 2019.

As Head Designer my primary responsibility was to produce artwork starting at the concept stage primarily using the Corel Draw graphics suite and following the job through to production & completion. This involved interpreting the client's requirements and liaising with them until approval had been received. My responsibilities required me to be able to use a variety of technical equipment to produce the end product for installation. These included our Computer Controlled Router, several Large Format Printers and Plotters. I have itemised these below:Computer Controlled Router - A flatbed router used to cut acrylic, aluminium, aluminium composites and various timbers. My responsibility includes set up of artwork & machine, operation, cleaning, light maintenance and trouble shooting. This required me to be proficient in the CNC program ToolPath.Large Format Printers - (HP3500, HP5500, Roland XC-540, HP-L25500)Roll fed wide format printers ranging from 1200mm wide to 1500mm wide with aqueous inks, solvent inks and latex inks. These printers were used for a variety of media including self-adhesive vinyls, banners, papers and reflectives. Typical responsibilities with these printers includes setup and processing of artwork, operation of machines and post printing tasks such as laminating, print & cut, trimming and application along with cleaning and maintenance. Over the years I have become familiar with the RIP programs as Onyx, Cyclone & Sai Production Manager.Plotters - (600mm wide, 1200mm wide & 1500mm wide Roland & Mimaki)Computer controlled plotters using both pens and blades to produce computer cut vinyl signage or layouts for installers and to contractors for fabrication (such as neon fabrication & plastic fabrication layouts). Programs used in this application included SignLab, Roland Cut-Direct & Sai Production Manager.
