Leigh led the charge in developing this ground-breaking, forward-thinking non-profit - taking it from concept to real-life. With a small, but impressive leadership team she developed the National Summit, cultivated a stellar Advisory Panel, and built a fledgling board of directors. She facilitated not only the day-to-day management of the organization, but the nationwide development and cultivation of strategic alliances, advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill, and oversaw a full-scale marketing campaign from materials develoment to web and social media efforts. She cultivated active partnerships with such groups as the Medical Reserve Corps, Health Occupations Students of America, the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation and more.

As the National Director of Special Events for the PKD Foundation, Leigh took the Walk for PKD campaign from a disconnected grassroots effort to a strong, synergized, comprehensive national campaign - doubling the revenue in the process. She launched the Run for PKD program, introducing a new revenue stream to teh PKD Foundation. Maybe most notably, she helped foster improved volunteer relationships and increased volunteer capabilities through comprehensive coaching, training, mentoring and materials development, all across the country.

Leigh managed the Bike MS, Walk MS and several other local campaigns - namely, launching a 3-day, 50-mile walk from scratch. She managed a strong staff and trained, cultivated, and motivated hundreds of volunteers. She served on the leadership team, aiding in the development and execution of the chapter's annual plan, facilitating budget management for her department, and collaborating with other departments.Leigh also served as a national consultant, specializing in "crisis management", transitional and strategic planning.
