Recipient of 2022 Mozilla Foundation Creative Media Award and 2021 Sundance Uprise Grant.Informed by her experiences as a revenge porn survivor and sex worker, her artistic work spans performance, installation, video, and socially engaged art to explore issues such as intimacy, race, labor, and sexuality. An internationally exhibiting artist, she is co-founder of Heal Her, a platform for survivors healing from sexual trauma and gender-based violence, and JADED, Pittsburgh's first Asian American art collective. One of the first women of color blogging about sex, Lena wrote about coming of age as a first-generation Asian American exploring her sexuality and grappling with depression as a Harvard undergraduate. Praised for her “hardcore approach to covering sex without self-censoring”, she has been featured as a commentator for outlets such as The New York Times, The Guardian, Marie Claire, CNN, and Glamour. Over the past decade, she has given public talks at Oxford, Yale, Stanford, SXSW, and re:publica sex education, reproductive justice, and the impact of technology on sex and feminism.
