With over 15 years of graphic design experience, I continue to try to advance my design skills to ensure I am proficient in my field. With my combined experience I am prepared to be able to advise my clients on the best strategies to reach their particular needs for their audience to eliminate disinterest. Leading projects with interest in visual rhythm, hierarchy, and strong emphasis on the main focal point to eliminate the lack of harmony or agreement between the elements within a design. In order to achieve this purpose as a designer, I must use my artistic experience to create a unique reaction to a design piece that encourages the audience to be engaged with the designs particular purpose and direct their gaze to the active subject of the art work. While working in collaboration with the client I feel it is my job to determine the message the design should portray to the client’s audience. The image should identify their product and convey the appropriate message. Some of my methods would be to introduce new ideas that could include hybridization which would make use of mixing cultural influences to make a new distinctive statement.As a designer part of the process is to develop visual components using line, texture, shape, mass and volume, color, and space not just size, scale and proportion to deliver a degree of visual difference among elements of graphic arts in a composition as a means of visual emphasis. These techniques can be geared towards graphics with visual images for product illustration, logos, brand identity, print design and advertising and the overall visual communication designs.
