Designed pneumatic tube systems (new systems and expansions), ran simulationsto predict/confirm performance, generated estimates for proposed designs.Developed a zero-time simulator that could run a 24 hour script in a few seconds.Participated in selection of new platform/tool to generate estimates. Developed webbased enterprise estimating application.

Managed engineering projects for new products and features, from concept toproduction. Generated technical specifications from stakeholder directives, elicitschedules from development team, measured progress using “earned effortmanagement”, a variant of earned value that uses hours instead of cost.

Global Commerce Systems Inc. (GCS) was a provider of Java based e-commercesoftware products and services. Participated in 30+-member team to design andimplement "Quick Books" type web application, used by companies to reconcileelectronic transactions (corporate credit cards, Internet purchases, etc). Renovatedlegacy architecture to conform to Model 2 (MVC) design pattern. Worked withcustomer to capture design requirements, use cases stories. Generated UMLdiagrams and worked with database engineers to generated equivalent ERDdiagrams and schema.

Developed software, embedded controllers, network protocols and machines used invarious automated material handling systems; printer assembly for Hewlett-Packard,clean room operation for IBM, pharmaceutical manufacturing for Becton-Dickinson,and others.
