My responsibilities include:• Working on the client-side code for the company's various SaaS solutions, including the Learning Management System, Performance Management System, Applicant Tracking System, and Onboarding/HR Software.• Working alongside other developers, product owners, and consultants, across multiple locations (UK, Europe, and internationally), to define, design, implement, and test product additions. • Utilising valid HTML5, scalable CSS3, and high quality JavaScript and TypeScript for development work on products across varying ecosystems and tech stacks. • Using current (and past) established frameworks, tools, and libraries, including: React, Knockout, GraphQL, Webpack, Less, Sass, PostCSS, etc.• Writing automated unit, component, integration, and visual regression tests using Jest and Cypress.• Testing and improving the products’ responsiveness, cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, accessibility (WCAG), and client-side performance.• Integrating and configuring third-party libraries, tools, and APIs, including: Google Maps and Analytics, ChartJS, jQuery datatables, etc.• Regularly advising on accessibility concerns and adjustments, particularly with regard to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and the WAI-ARIA spec.• Responding to client queries and fixing raised bugs. Initially working in London before moving to be fully remote, I worked on the client-side code of the company’s SaaS products, defining, designing, implementing, and testing additions alongside the rest of the team. I took full ownership of the design (using Photoshop), UX, and client-side code (using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript), and also developed templated and custom-branded client systems.
