A scientist working beyond the walls of academia, supporting innovation by connecting technology, people, grants and capital.I completed a PhD on Tissue Engineering at the ARC Centre for Excellence in Electromaterials Science (ACES) with examiner commendations for outstanding thesis, 11 peer-reviewed publications and an Elsevier Atlas Award.Since graduating, I have been using my skills to establish and support technology-focused businesses as a founder, angel investor, podcaster, non-executive director and business development manager.When I am not working, you can find me on a beach. I have been a member of Coalcliff Surf Lifesaving Club for 25 years and have held leadership positions including a six year tenure as club president. I remain an active lifesaver and serve as part of the Illawarra's emergency call-out team for ocean rescues.Views are my own
