Duties: Planning and executing Internal Audit engagements for the Group Internal Audit – ( Safcol, Komatiland Forests and Ifloma Sarl in Mozambique ) Responsibilities- Facilitation / performance of risk assessment and control analysis.- Evaluation of inherent risk and residual risk exposure.- Developing risk based risk based audit plans and audit work programs based on the risk assessment process in order to provide assurance on the company’s governance, risk management, and controls.- Execution of the work program as per requirements set in order to evaluate theeffectiveness and efficiency of internal control- Collation of the teams work and preparation of audit findings and the audit report.- Follow up on management actions in response to the internal audit reports and other external assurance service providers.- Evaluation of internal financial and operational control systems.- Provision of consultation services and other internal audit relevant responsibilities.- Building and maintaining professional relations with management via regular liaison to address concerns, audit findings, recommendations and other pertinent matters.

Role: Trainee Internal AuditInternal Audit- Ensuring compliance to internal control policies.- Documenting system descriptions.- Obtaining, analyzing and appraising supporting evidence to come to conclusion.- Reviewing policies for approval and facilitation of their update periodically.- Reporting on findings and recommendations of audit work performed on formal working paper using Team Mate.- Performing follow up reviews.Risk Management- Assist the Senior Manager to develop and implement Risk Management framework aligned to best practice - Develop and roll-out Risk Management Framework Implementation Plan- Build and maintain awareness on risk management matters throughout the organization- Ensure the strategic and business risk profiles are developed and reviewed in line with the framework- Facilitate operational risk assessment workshops and advise on the adequacy of mitigation strategies- Periodically evaluate the risk profile to ensure it addresses all relevant risk areasAssets Management- Assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of “best practice” asset management systems and processes.- Making asset data available and accessible and in a format that can benefit the real time management of the department.- Assisting in the preparation of statistical returns, statutory reports & asset valuations.- Maintenance of accurate asset registers and inventories.- Assisting with the development, creation, enhancement, management and presentation of asset data, information and reports.- Contribute to the planning and policy development of the department by providing timely and accurate management reports and information.- Preparing monthly reconciliation of fixed asset register -Proposing monthly journals for misallocations of asset accounts to finance department.- Attend to both internal and external auditors on audit queries.
