With 20 years of experience as a Foreign Service Officer, I have developed a strong passion and expertise for immigration and global policy issues, especially in the East Asia and Pacific region. I am currently seeking new opportunities to apply my skills and knowledge in a dynamic and diverse organization that shares my values of service, leadership, and collaboration. I believe I can bring a wealth of insights and perspectives from my various assignments and roles in different countries and cultures.My most recent position was as the Head of Unit for China Economic and Technology Policy in the Bureau of East Asia and Pacific Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, where I managed a team of nine people and worked on export controls, trade and investment policy, macroeconomics, and technology policy. I led the development and implementation of strategies and policies to advance U.S. interests and values in the region, and engaged with senior officials, stakeholders, and partners from both the public and private sectors. I also leveraged my skills in immigration, government officials, and global policy to facilitate the exchange of information, ideas, and best practices among different actors and institutions.
