I am self-employed as an Attorney at Law for over twenty-five years and have a general law practice that focuses on estate planning and probate administration. I am a National Urban Fellow, with a master's degree in public administration, from Baruch College, (CUNY). I am an honors graduate of Howard University, with a bachelor's degree in communications management. I have served as a Special Assistant to Baltimore Mayor William Donald Schafer, Detroit Mayor, Coleman Young, Baltimore Mayor, Kurt L. Schmoke, and Harford County Executive, Habern Freeman. I served as a Development Director for the Baltimore Development Corporation, BDC, and developed over $100 million dollars in real estate projects. My practice includes, probate administration, wills and trusts, Chapter 7 & 13 Bankruptcy, Family law, Accidents, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Small business and non-profit administration, Grant and proposal writing, medical malpractice, and nursing home neglect. I am a former certified Assistant Living Manager. I have associate degrees in construction management, Electronic Technology, and Music Education. I previously owned and operated a media production company, Be-More Productions, and I served as the Executive Director for the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institue and Cultural Center. I have produced concerts by Lionel Hampton, Abbey Lincoln, Max Roach, Lonnie Liston Smith, Hugh Masekela, and Leon Thomas. I produced local versions of the plays, "The Wiz" and "Westside Story". I produced the "Save the Children's Festival, and "The Westside Community Fair, for ten years, in Baltimore, MD. I am a member of the Maryland ACLU. I served as a staff attorney, and later as a board member for seven years, and Vice-President for two years. I was the founding Chairman for the Maryland Low-Income Housing Coalition, and received the Governor's Citation, for helping to draft and pass a $35 million-dollar affordable housing legislation. I have been invited to the White House and the State Department, during the Reagan administration. Currently, I volunteer as the Co-Founder, of the Rosemont Community Interfaith Coalition, Inc., which provides alternative educational and recreational programs for neglected youth and their families, living in this southwest Baltimore neighborhood. I also volunteer with the Friends of the Arch Social Club, helping to create a new "Black Arts and Entertainment District", along the Pennsylvania Avenue corridor, in west Baltimore, Maryland.
