Ex-WNBA player, Indiana State All-Star, and retired executive staff member of the Indiana Department of Corrections, Leslie Johnson, founded Hushed No More LLC in support and unity of athletes everywhere who struggle with various issues associated with parts of the journey that most people are unaware of. Her mission is to use her story, and the stories of others, to motivate, encourage, empower, and provide an awareness to the struggles faced starting at pee wee level, through intramural, to the pros, and even beyond retirement.Hushed No More LLC is an organization that is dedicated to furthering mental health awareness within middle school, high school, college, professional, and athletic communities. The organization supports struggling individuals through education, mentoring, life coaching, testimonials, and licensed professional assistance. Hushed No More provides support to those that are struggling with rejection, addiction, grief, loss, sexual identity, and/or depression. As a speaker, Leslie explains the process of migrating through her journey of playing on the girls’ basketball team at Fort Wayne Northrop in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, bouncing back after leaving Purdue University, eventually being drafted by the Washington Mystics, surviving depression and addiction; and so much more. Those who have had the opportunity to experience services and presentations provided by Leslie Johnson’s Hushed No More have been encouraged to speak through their circumstance, find their truth, and discover their power.
