15 years experience in commercial, lifestyle, flat-lay, and product photography. Working for a small company like Bosca, you learn that your job title is more like five positions rolled into one. "Director of Photography" means, while working closely with the Art/Creative Director, I am in charge of everything in a photoshoot, from planning and pre-production, all the way through to retouching, archiving and file delivery. If a problem arises during a shoot, I'm the guy who needs to have the knowledge and skill to make sure it gets fixed. This has taught me the importance of implementing a streamlined and efficient workflow, to ensure that content creation is never the bottleneck in the creative process.
