Environmental Lights is an LED lighting innovator. As the director of information technology I support business needs and future growth by seeking out and leveraging the best of breed software, hardware, and cloud providers. I re-architected and built an IT hardware and software infrastructure that is redundant and right sized to support our call center, sales staff, business services, and remote offices in China and across the United States. This infrastructure was built to support a 5 year road map. Environmental Lights went from almost daily service outages when I arrived to 99.99% up-time. As part of my risk assessment and mitigation plan I created and implemented a disaster recovery program for the company which included encrypting and backing up critical corporate data locally and to the cloud as well as writing and disseminating an emergency response plan. Through 24x7 monitoring I ensure that services are on-line and secure.

My team and I re-designed and implemented the dev-ops and production environments enabling the development team by creating a stable, scalable, and secure platform to build a new loan payment system and customer portal. I am responsible for disaster recover design and testing. I managed technical audits and compliance of GLBA, PCI, HIPAA as well as various bank audits. I also forecasted and track both operating and capital costs for the department. I worked directly with the Chief Information Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and the Chief Risk Officer. I was also responsible to manage risks in the information systems environment. To keep the infrastructure secure I continually review the IT security posture which includes antivirus solutions, IPS, DLP, central logging, authentication, the software patching policy data encryption and data backups. I managed audits, scans and penetration tests keeping CSI compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards and federal regulation such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLBA)and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Acts (HIPAA). I wrote and managed the corporate information systems security policy and the IT risk assessment. My team has also designed and built the disaster recovery plan and site as well as test it annually.
