My current research focuses on how FTIR spectroscopy could be used for cancer diagnostics. The latest work from our group is investigating the feasibility of FTIR spectroscopy to be used for the detection of circulating tumour cells.

My PhD work is focused on the use of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) to study lung cancer cells and the potential FTIR has as a diagnostic tool for lung cancers.
