About Lexy Selof
My art is largely inspired by my personal experiences, the sublime quality of nature, my family and faith. I love sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, screen printing, weaving; and most importantly print and pattern design. I am a hands-on artist and I cherish the tactile quality of creating something new and beautiful with nothing but my hands and some small bit of material. My goal is to create designs that are beautiful and elevate the space of each and every user. I love working with other people to help bring their unique vision and ideas to life. Seeing the wonder and beauty that can be found within textiles and the rich and vibrant history surrounding Fibers has brought me great joy. What makes me unique is my ability to consistently bring positive contributions to any situation. Whether it's my optimistic outlook on life, my talent for fostering teamwork and uplifting each member, my versatility in mastering various mediums, my exceptional presentation skills, or my commitment to caring and inclusivity, I always add value.In June of 2024, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Savannah College of Art and Design with B.F.A in Fibers along with a minor in Business Management. All of the skills I have learned from my illustrious professors coupled with the years of hands on experience will help me as I seek to work in the textile industry and explore opportunities within textile design for hospitality or fashion.
