Software Engineer Intern, Web App Development
I engineered major contributions to many components of the design and creation of theKnowledge Hub, an interactive web application allowing users to acquirepersonalized knowledge in sustainable business practices and admins to createcontent and manage users.I led efforts in building the admin media manager, and played a key role with the frontend and backend of the admin editor and the entirety of the user sector, as well as the appearance of the UI. During design, I conducted interviews as part of user research, and helped my team to concoct the Knowledge Hub and its assortment of features from the ground up.The web app utilizes Python for the backend, with Flask framework and Jinja templating, HTML/CSS for the frontend, JavaScript (Node.js and jQuery) on both ends, and NoSQL for the database.Through the creation of the Knowledge Hub, my team and I were able to exponentially expand client capacity and significantly increase the efficiency and simplicity of solving clientele sustainability needs and questions.My experience began as a Junior Design project before transitioning into a summer internship.
