After ten years as a small business owner and fitness industry aficionado, I realised I was looking forward to telling my company and client's stories more than I was enjoying the personal training. It was definitely time to put down the dumbbells and chase that change I was yearning for!I launched into a double B. International Studies and B. Media, Public Relations and Advertising minoring in International Business at The University of New South Wales. I've (almost) made it through my 5 years incognito with the teens/20 somethings and I'm ready to take on the world! Here's what I do:1. I tell stories. I turned a stock standard, jump up and down in the park fitness bootcamp into a durable, profitable and sellable brand by telling stories. Ever since I was a child I not only loved but excelled at writing. I'm now so grateful that social media, advertising, public relations and strategy give me the opportunity to take this skill to the workplace everyday.2. I see the world in full colour. I've managed fitness classes for old age pensioners, social housing residents and rainbow community groups. I've successfully worked with organisations and industries as diverse as the Confucius Institute (Chinese Government), financial advisors and policy research think tanks. In a world that is increasingly divided; I pride myself on actively embracing - and solving - the problems that come with those divides.3. I bring a little glitter to the party. What's the point in being creative if you're not going to have some fun with it? I've combined traditional media, in person experiences and a keen eye for demographics and pop culture to achieve maximum engagement. "Drag race" bootcamp sessions, cross city scavenger hunts and "off centre" athletics carnivals are all concepts that I have created and produced - to much fanfare.
