This taught me how to read building plans and instructions with strict attention to detail to ensure that the work was carried out effectively.• I was responsible for the demolition of commercial buildings such as office blocks which included the deconstruction of concrete structures, stud walls, ceilings, flooring and work stations using power tools such as jackhammers, drills, saws and grinders. This required me to be extremely vigilant with health and safety, ensuring PPE was worn before commencing. It also taught me the importance of following safety rules and instructions carefully and diligently.• I was trusted with the responsibility of training new employees which demonstrated my competent abilities and taught me how to communicate effectively and thoroughly with my colleagues. • I ensured health and safety standards were being maintained, ensuring PPE was worn at all times and sections were cornered off while demolishing hazardous structures such as walls and ceilings. • I carried out the task of cleaning the site after each day, learning the importance of maintaining a clean and tidy site to ensure it was cleared of all debris and any hazardous objects.
