Provides technical leadership for projects, and is responsible for identifying new product or technology opportunities.As the domain expert, the Systems Engineer provides expertise to bring technologies to the market, and support throughout the product lifecycle.

Working with a small core team to support current algorithms and develop new ones. This includes INS, Vertical Reference Systems and cable and pipeline survey technologies.Achievements include the development of a new magnetometer-based cable survey system used for survey of energised submarine power cables. Coordinated successful trials of prototype instruments offshore.

Actively participating in all aspects of product development, including mathematical modelling, electrical design, prototyping and field trials.

Responsibilities included managing accelerated life-cycle testing for a clinical instrument under development. The result of this study directly impacted the mechanical, electrical and software design of the instrument. While in this position, I won a company-wide award for outstanding contribution to the R&D program.This position was full-time from 2001 to 2002, used to gain hands-on experience and save to self-fund higher education. From 2002 the position was during term breaks, approx 20 weeks per year.
