Mining operations at the MCC are currently approved until 31 December 2038 and would continue to be carried out in accordance with Project Approval (05_0117) as modified and Project Approval (08_0135) as modified.Moolarben Coal Operations Pty Ltd (MCO) is currently investigating options to extend the current open cut operations at the MCC. Baseline studies have commenced in two study areas within existing tenements, to inform consideration of:1. Extending OC3 south within EL6288 and EL7073; and2. Extending OC4 east within ML1715.The full scope of the Project is being developed and will be informed by further baseline environmental studies, technical studies and engagement with key stakeholders, including Government agencies and the community.My role involved supporting the MCO E&C Manager and Yancoal Corporate Team to undertake mining operations under statutory approvals and Licence to Operate obligations.
