Assistant manager of a highly successful, student-centred bar, The Graduate. The role involved supporting the manager in staff motivation, supervision, and development. This included line managing over 25 staff members which also included 4 supervisors. Regular duties included:- Control of financing and budgeting to ensure we were always running a profit in line with forecasted expectations and three-year trends. - Business planning in line with local events. - Staffing rota in line with the above to ensure staff costs were in line with forecasts. - Weekly reporting to head office with budget breakdowns, income, costs, stock, and future forecasting. - Staff interviewing. - Staff reviews and appraisals. - Organising staff celebrations to support morale. - Organising and delivering staff training.
