I am data analyst who is open to work. I began my career working for a non-profit economic development marketing organization as a Research Manager. My job was to coordinate responses to companies and/or their consultants and answer all types of questions about the community. Our goal was for companies to visit the region in order to decide to locate a new facility there. I worked with lots of data including census and labor information and my work was pivotal in helping companies make decisions about where to locate their businesses. This career was very fulfilling. I loved my job and my coworkers but after nine years I was part of a reduction in force due to state funding cuts.After the reduction in force, I worked for similar organizations and took on some freelance work including developing website content and preparing research reports.I also decided to upskill and this led me to take some IT courses at Central Piedmont Community College including Database Fundamentals and SQL Base Programming and eventually to decide to complete a data analytics bootcamp where I learned more advanced Excel, Tableau, SQL and Python. My goal in my new career is to add value to an organization. I want to be part of a team with a mission. I am task oriented but I want to contribute to a bigger picture.For fun, I like to go to the movies, listen to podcasts and spend time with friends. I've been a gueston a friend's podcast where we talk about movies. I'm involved with a library book club.
