Supervised junior researchers. • Designed, developed multiple projects to study gene expression in cancer susceptibility and treatment response; spearheaded grant proposals securing a total of $1.48M USD in research funding.• Proposed and validated the model of dual recognition of juxtaposed 5' splicing sites based upon data from single molecule gene expression analysis. • Identified the founder mutation of PMS2 c.2002A>G + c.2002A>G in the Nanuvik population, revealed the molecular mechanism underlying clinical manifestation.• Confirmed "neutral" nature of the frequently reported BRCA2 c.6853A>G variant in BIC (Breast Cancer Information Core) database.
