Research Analyst
CurrentCollaborate with U.S. Programs staff to gather, analyze, and organize quantitative and qualitative data for over six ongoing projects.Summarize findings from data user surveys that provide feedback on American Community Survey data products. Collaborate with design and web development teams to enhance the user-friendliness and navigation of the data user forum.Produce monthly and annual reports to track website user statistics.Apply appropriate research and statistical methods, utilizing quantitative software such as R, SAS, and Excel.Analyze and interpret staff survey data to drive PRB’s strategic initiatives, presenting findings to senior leadership.Author PRB blogs and translate research findings into web tools, data visualizations, and publications.Interpret and apply suppression procedures to confidential data to protect disclosure of information that identifies an individual.Update 14 handbooks with tutorials on utilizing the U.S. Census Bureau’s new data dissemination systems, including data.census.gov, API, and Microdata Access Tool.Build and maintain PRB's prominence by attending, moderating, and presenting primary research at industry-recognized conferences.Organize biennial data user conferences with 700+ attendees by reviewing and rating abstract submissions, designing pre- and post-event surveys, and co-authoring final reports. Serve as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.
