Growing up I’ve always had an affinity for technology, whether it was modding the game Zoo Tycoon when I was 14 years old or building my first computer by myself at age 18. My passion for computers has spurred me to spend countless hours at the computer, providing me with troubleshooting/problem solving skills and computer literacy. I had always planned on pursuing an education and career in software and only recently did the opportunity finally present itself for me to make that goal a reality.I have spent the last year participating in the LaunchCode software bootcamp, completing this program was one of the most demanding challenges I have had to overcome but it was also one of the most rewarding. During my time with LaunchCode I learned about the different aspects of the software development lifecycle from planning to development to testing. I also learned how to work independently and how to recognize when I need to ask for help. During my final months at the bootcamp, I created a Recipe Cataloging web application using Java/JavaScript/SQL/HTML/CSS.Now that I have graduated and have proved my ability to learn and apply myself, I am ready to jumpstart my career! I am currently looking for an entry-level Software Quality Analyst position where I can utilize my skills and help create a meaningful impact on people’s lives.In my free time I enjoy playing video games, brainstorming new tattoo ideas, reading cookbooks for new things to create, collecting Vinyl albums, and watching tv!
