Create and update websites in OERD, working within the OERD Marketing and Messaging team, utilizing their tools and processes. Responsibilities include planning, design and development.

Oversee enrollment campaigns in the undergraduate, transfer, accelerated, MBA and master’s of education. Review and meet with internal and external partners on strategy, deliverables, and deadlines. Collaborate and communicate to ensure marketing plan/calendar/budget is followed and program goals are being met. Report on the contractor’s progress and evaluate performance. Collaborate with content team to make decisions regarding quantity and distribution of fliers/brochures and full integration of print with digital email and social campaigns.Oversees delivery of identified creative assets, including researching, writing/editing/proofing, printing, buying lists and posting/mailing/sending pieces. Ad placement, organizing/creating content, printing fliers, ordering promotional items, posting on social media for RU or professional organizations’ events.Oversee implementation of program marketing plans, performance indicators and budget; track monthly goals and follow-up with formal quarterly reports at meetings. Assist with ad-hoc reports and sharing dashboards as needed. Ensures the content team is knowledgeable of all marketing opportunities, initiatives, performance and educates on trends.

College Of Liberal Arts And Sciences

Work with the University’s content management system to build, edit and implement recommended sites and strategies.Provide content strategy and development for the college’s website, and the websites of departments, programs and centers within CLAS. Work directly with college departments and units to help identify their site goals, content structure and execution plan. Collaborate with NIU’s Web and Internal Communications to educate website owners regarding successful content creation and implementation.Support analytics development and deployment.Produce the College’s publications including designing materials for an annual awards event, seminars, presentations, and special events. Write and design promotional materials for each department in an effort to recruit undergraduate students including brochures and advertisements.Develop content for social media.

English Department, Style Journal

Format journal in Adobe InDesign. Obtain quotes and collaborate with the production company to print the journal. Work with the editor to process new submissions, current articles, and future issues. Develop website for the journal and maintain the site. Maintain and update annual subscriptions and other business affairs of the journal. Supervise graduate assistants in business affairs and editorial processes.

English Department

Recruit, interview, screen, and place students in internships.Review assigned credit internship coursework. Meet with credit interns at intervals throughout the semester.Conduct internship site visits.Create and revise course materials and corresponded with student interns individually.Contact companies and other organizations to generate interest in sponsoring an intern.Attend the Chicago professional meetings of the Society for Technical Communication and serve as co-faculty advisor for the NIU-STC organization. Serve as a liaison among the students, the sponsoring organizations, and the university.Write and producing the NIU English department’s newsletter (Reavis Newsletter). Serve as faculty advisor for Towers, the university’s yearly creative writing magazine.

Illinois Association Of School Business Officials

Edit, design, and produce all the Association’s publications. Supervise and train staff in desktop and electronic publishing.Create and maintain the Association’s website. Manage and prioritize the needs of the Association’s committees, staff, and members relative to representation on the website. Analyze statistics regarding website usage and proposing new areas of information and services the website may provide.

Center For Governmental Studies

Design and produce several brochures, booklets, research reports, and visual aides. Develop, write, design, edit, and produce an in-house newsletter and various departmental promotional publications.
